Technological Change
I don't think that it depends on what you know in order to survive in a world of rapid technological change, but think that is has more to deal with access and privilege because you may have the knowledge which won't guarantee you the abilities to show what you know.

I would change...
If I could change my writing it would be that I would take it more seriously; I think that I am decent at writing and have a lot of things that I wouldn't mind sharing with others by writing it down, but the fact is I don't like writing!

50 words of what an author is...
An author is someone who has something to say that is important to them, it has significance, meaning, and allows for individual expression, there are no limits on who the person is, their age, or even whether no one else gets the message, it is the public way of communicating.

YouTube
This semester I have a professor who uses You Tube as a way to instruct lessons. In a different class I have mandatory movies that I am supposed to watch and the majority of them are supposed to downloaded from You Tube. Someday classes will all be taken from home.

I grew up with a brother who is five years older than me, so I encountered problems when I entered kindergarten. In school they were teaching us how to write print, but when I was at home with my brother I would watch him write in cursive. I wanted to be just like him, so I would practice over and over until I learned new letters to write in cursive. For some reason I learned how to write his name first. When in school I started to write Eric in cursive on everything because I was so proud of myself, but then I began to get in trouble for this. They didn't like that I was learning cursive before even learning all the letters in print. Eventually, I gave in and only wrote print at school, but it didn't keep me from learning cursive at home!
